Hopefully you will have seen Jon Child’s emails and cajoling messages regarding The Heath pavilion ‘reopening' this Sunday, 6th August.
We held a reception in November 2015 to announce the significant award by Sport England, we have subsequently been awarded funds by East Hampshire District Council and the Hampshire Playing Fields Association amongst others and had huge community support, particularly from Petersfield Town Council. The reopening will primarily be aimed at celebrating what we have achieved with support from many in the community, it is also an opportunity for us as a club to celebrate a fantastic facility, albeit its not quite finished! It will also be an opportunity to thank members of the club who have put in hundred of hours of work in fundraising and delivering the project.
There will be an U19 T20 match against Hampshire Hoggets starting at 10am; the guests have been invited for 12.30 and we will be holding a reception for them at 1pm; the ‘Big Game’ will start at 2pm.
John has asked for volunteers for working parties, please no matter how small your help would be greatly appreciated. Please contact John (firstname.lastname@example.org) and lend your support. If you would like to play in the ‘Big Game’ (President’s/Chairman’s XI v a combined side) please get in touch with either myself or John as soon as possible.
It has been a long haul to modernise the pavilion we are on the final lap, very nearly there, lets celebrate what we have achieved and look forward to enjoying a facility at a unique site in the heart of the community. Please come and support the day and enjoy the pavilion!
Should the weather mean that we are unable to play cricket we will still go ahead with the reception.
