Hampshire Women enjoy April sunshine at the Heath
Petersfield are honoured to host Young Vipers and Hampshire Womens XI.

The Heath was a picture in the Spring sunshine as we hosted a warm-up match for two teams of elite women cricketers.

Dan and Dan made a huge effort to get a decent strip prepared so early in the year, and it played very true, if a little low with the famous Heath 'bounce' very much in evidence.

Hampshire batted first and patiently accrued 185 runs, using a few short of their allotted 50 overs.

A few early wickets slowed the Viper's chase and they never got ahead of the rate, ending up all out for 99 runs.

Despite the cold air, the sun did it's best, and all the visitors and spectators had a lovely day of early April cricket.

Thanks to Steve G for getting out of bed early to help the Four Clarkies get the pavilion and ground ready for the day, and to Bran, Manon and Scarlett for helping us put it all away again.
